Whiteboard Wednesdays With the NIU College of Education

The College of Education's next Whiteboard Wednesday offering, "Flight, Fight, Freeze, or Fawn: Understanding Our Response to Trauma," will feature Adam Carter, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the  Counseling and Higher Education department. 

An estimated 70% of adults in the U.S. have experienced some type of traumatic event at least once in their lives. Understanding how our body’s internal alarm system activates to help keep us safe from trauma can help individuals see these responses as both mentionable and manageable.

This event will be held via Zoom from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9.
