'The Oral History Project' on NIU Enters Final Production Stage

'The Oral History Project', developed by PCI, is meant to celebrate the Huskie Experience.

**NOTE** – Due to COVID-19, we encountered an unanticipated delay in production, but we are confident that 'The Oral History Project' will be worth the wait. Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the delay.

The NIU Alumni Association announced on Tuesday, Oct. 29, that they have partnered with PCI to produce "The Oral History Project" for all Northern Illinois alumni.

The Oral History Project offers a fresh new way to engage our NIU alumni by gathering stories and memories that fully encapsulate the Huskie experience in a hardbound book, which can also be digitally purchased.

PCI will contact NIU alumni directly through postcards, emails and phone calls to encourage participation. It is the responsibility of the alumnus to schedule an appointment with a PCI employee to share their memories and be included in 'The Oral History Project' at no cost.

"Our alumni each have their own distinct Huskie experience, and that is what makes Northern Illinois special," NIU Alumni Association Executive Director Reggie Bustinza said. "The Oral History Project is a collaborative and unique look at the history of NIU, showing how our past helped shape the future of our alumni."
