NIU Black Alumni Council Virtual Holiday Fundraiser

Dust off your favorite ugly holiday sweater, cozy up by your fire and celebrate the festive season by joining the Black Alumni Council’s virtual holiday fundraiser! 

The event, which is hosted by Jeff Murry '98, and features Nick Nicholson '93 as the live DJ, is in support of the Fanny Ruth Patterson Scholarship. You could even be a part of the presentation by submitting your 'Throwback' photos here.

University leadership, including NIU President Lisa Freeman and Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Vernese Edghill-Walden, will share information and updates about NIU.

The event will feature a presentation from The NIU Center for Black Studies Director Anne Edwards.

Attendees can look forward to fellowship and fun, including games along with scholarship recipient and student life video spotlights.

Reservations are required to receive the link to the Zoom webinar. While there is no cost to register for this event, donations to the Fanny Ruth Patterson Scholarship can be made beginning Dec. 1 at Crowdfund.NIU.edu/bacfrp.
