NIU Black Alumni Council Virtual Holiday Fundraiser

Sunday, Dec. 19

Dust off your favorite ugly holiday sweater, cozy up by your fire and celebrate the festive season by joining the Black Alumni Council’s virtual holiday fundraiser!

The council is excited to host a virtual DJ session, featuring a live DJ while raising funds for the Fanny Ruth Patterson Scholarship.

University leadership, including NIU President Lisa Freeman and Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Vernese Edghill-Walden, will share information and updates about NIU.

The event will feature a presentation from The NIU Center for Black Studies Director Anne Edwards.

Attendees can look forward to fellowship and fun, including games, an ugly sweater contest, along with scholarship recipient and student life video spotlights.

Reservations are required to receive the link to the Zoom webinar. While there is no cost to register for this event, donations to the Fanny Ruth Patterson Scholarship can be made beginning Dec. 1 at
