Wednesday Night Wisdom with the NIU College of Business

Professional and personal setbacks left NIU Alumni Association board member Kimberly Buchanan, ’95, M.A. ’98, feeling stuck. It took believing in herself, some great support tools, and letting go of what was holding her back for her to find her passion and purpose.

Join Buchanan, an international bestselling author, speaker, certified transformation coach and award-winning corporate professional, as she shares her story and the lessons she learned on her way to unlocking her potential. 

Buchanan is best known for creating the Unlock Your Potential online platform. She created the platform for ambitious and courageous people with the desire to make an impact on the world while still managing work, family and life. Buchanan provides valuable content, training and transformational coaching to help them overcome their fears and gain the courage to use their unique skill sets beyond their day jobs. The majority of her clients have a desire to start a side hustle or to brand themselves as an expert in their field of expertise to gain more visibility both inside and outside of their companies.
