Join us for an evening that blends culinary excellence with community impact at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, in the Gallery of the Holmes Student Center. 

With Chef Bryan leading the charge, every donation made will nourish both the Edible Campus and Huskie Food Pantry initiatives, ensuring our students and community thrive together. Your support will plant the seeds for a healthier, more sustainable future at NIU.
 

Giving Opportunities: 

Greenhouse Guardian - $5,000 

Become a Greenhouse Guardian and play a vital role in the success of initiatives like creating the Edible Campus greenhouse. Your generous gift will directly help provide fresh, sustainable produce for our community. As a thank you, this sponsorship includes eight (8) seats at the exclusive dinner including a wine and food pairing.  

Sustainable Scholar - $3,500 

Your gift will support initiatives like providing a paid student worker for an entire semester at the Edible Campus or the Huskie Food Pantry or providing meals for students in need. Your support directly empowers students and fights food insecurity on our campus. As a thank you, this gift includes six (6) dinner seats, including a wine and food pairing. 

Harvest Helper - $1,000 

Your gift supports initiatives like the delivery of vital meals to students facing food insecurity, ensuring they have the nourishment they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom. As a thank you, this gift includes four (4) dinner seats including a wine and food pairing. 

Seed Sower - $75

Your gift allows you to make a meaningful impact by providing a student with the opportunity to attend the Oct. 3 dinner.  

Ticket options:

Chef's Table - $250 per plate, limited to 12 seats 

Exclusive dining experience separated from main dining seating and hosted by Chef Bryan Flower.

Wine/Beverage Pairing with Dinner - $100 per plate 

Enjoy a special wine or beverage pairing with your main course dinner and dessert. 

Main Dining Seating - $75 per plate

5:30 - Cocktail hour - A signature drink created using items from the Edible Campus Garden will be available during this cash bar reception along with appetizers. 

6:30 - Dinner

Creamy summer squash soup with spicy pepper mash

Apple and kale salad with poppy seed dressing

Main Course
Squash, tomato and caramelized onion lasagne with grilled chicken

Squash, tomato and caramelized onion lasagne with grilled portabella mushroom

Dessert
Flourless chocolate beet cake with salted caramel
