Healthy Healthy Huskies: Cardiovascular Health

Healthy Healthy Huskies Virtual Wellness Series

Wednesday, May 6

Join NIU Associate Professor Elizabeth Moxley, Ph.D., RN, for an inspiring session on Cardiovascular Health!

Discover how the natural environments around us can play a powerful role in supporting heart health. In this virtual wellness talk, we’ll explore the growing research behind “greenness” — from neighborhood parks to tree‑lined streets — and how these spaces contribute to cardiovascular well‑being.

You’ll learn:
🌿 How exposure to green spaces benefits heart health.
🌿 Ways natural environments support overall wellness.
🌿 Why combining physical activity with time outdoors provides an extra boost.

This session is perfect for anyone looking to better understand the connection between nature and heart health — and how simple lifestyle choices can improve well‑being.
