Join the NIU Latino Alumni Council and your fellow Huskies for a vibrant afternoon in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood

Reconnect with fellow Huskies on Saturday, June 27, starting at noon at Pilsen Yards for a pre-tour social hour. Enjoy delicious appetizers and refreshing non–alcoholic beverages as you catch up with alumni and friends before embarking on the Chicago Pilsen Mural Tour.

After the social, we’ll explore the bold, colorful murals that define Pilsen’s unique artistic identity. This guided walking tour will highlight the neighborhood’s rich history, cultural significance and the powerful role of muralism in shaping its story.

The tour will begin at 2 p.m. and should last approximately 90 minutes. We will meet near the entrance of the National Museum of Mexican Art to begin the tour. Attendees should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. We look forward to seeing you there!
