From Douglas Hall to the Pentagon - One NIU Huskie's Journey

NCIS Director and Distinguished Alumni Award winner Andrew Traver '85 looks back at his career and time at NIU.  

Don't miss out on your chance to hear the NIU Alumni Association's 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award winner and Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) Director Andrew Traver '85 discuss his legacy in a lecture, entitled "From Douglas Hall to the Pentagon – One NIU Huskie's Journey."

Traver will discuss his rise through the ranks as an NIU undergraduate, his various roles within the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and his current role with the NCIS.

 

The free lecture is a part of the "Experience NIU" series, presented by the NIU Alumni Association, and takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 22, in the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center, 231 N. Annie Glidden Road, DeKalb. At 5 p.m., enjoy food and an open bar (beer and wine) at a reception, which costs $10 for dues-paying alumni members and $15 for nonmembers.

Traver will be recognized officially as NIU's Distinguished Alumni Award winner at the annual NIU Alumni Awards Luncheon at noon Friday, March 23, at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center.
