Geology and Environmental Geosciences 50th Anniversary - Department Open House and Colloquium

Tour the department, meet with current students and faculty, reconnect with alumni and enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks during this event. This event is open to all alumni, students and friends of NIU. All guests must register to attend.

Time: 3 - 7 p.m.

Location: Davis Hall, 3rd floor

Cost: $15 ($20 at the door); children 12 and under are free. Tickets include hors d'oeuvres, desserts, soft drinks and one drink ticket. A cash bar will also be available. Current students may attend this event for free and must email Amy Ogden to RSVP.

Timeline:

  • 3 - 4 p.m. – Informal tours of the department, greet the faculty, staff and students
  • 4 - 5 p.m. – Colloquium: James Gridley, '87, Ph.D., director of the National Tsunami Warning Center at NOAA.
  • 5 - 7 p.m. – Open house with hors d’oeuvres, desserts and drinks; tours of department
