The Innovation Fund provides seed funding for NIU students, faculty, or staff engaging with the Office of Innovation on innovative projects, products, services or startups that lead to an enhanced university entrepreneurial ecosystem, experiential learning opportunities and increased economic development. As examples, the funding may be in support of student scholarship for further development of an idea, as award monies for internal competitions, or as a kick-starter for R&D or as startup business creation.
